Sarah teaches you how to do a lip trill or a lip whiny.
lyrics
The first warm up that we are going to do is what I like to call a horse whinny, or in proper terms, a lip trill. I do admit, horse whinny can be pretty funny sounds to make, and especially for the outsider looking in on the voice student. However, lip trills are a very good warm-up for the voice. The flex and release tension in your throat and diaphragm muscles. To perfect the lip trill, I suggest taking a sip of water before you warm up. Relax your lips and blow slightly through the hole of your mouth. A lip trill with no tune (or sound) should sound like this. I am going to give you a drum beat to practice your lip trill with. I will count down and do the first 3 with you, and then I would like you to do two more. Keep up the great progress, I am very proud of you! Next lesson we will learn how to make lip trills have sounds, like this! If you accomplished the lip trill, please go to the next track. If not, I would suggest replaying this track. Keep practicing.
