Sarah introduces you to warming up, and lets you know why it is important.
lyrics
Hi, this is Sarah your voice teacher. The first 3 tracks on your CD are vocal warm-ups. A vocal warm-up is a series of exercises which prepare the voice for singing. But why should we warm up? Imagine a runner before a big race. To go as fast as they can, they need stretch their leg muscles. The muscles in your voice needs to be “stretched” too. My hope is that you will use these warmups before you practice your songs, or before any strenuous singing. Voice warm ups will help you become actually become a better singer and extend your range (so you can sing higher or lower notes). All you need for these warm-ups is your beautiful singing voice and a nice big area so you can stand up while singing. Alright, I know your ready to start sing, so lets get warming up!
